Huron and Iroquois tribes lived in the Area before the British Crown Purchase the area in the 18 C in 1793 John Graves the governor named the area York in Honor of the Prince Frederick duke of York this prince was Kings George II second son , in 1812 the Battle of York was between USA and canada do to a battle in Washington where the british durn the city . then The US soldiers took fort York and destroyed most of the area . The population had many slave running from USA and and then in 1830 many Irish move in the area becoming the Biggest population of the city , and Catholic the main religion .
In the early 1900 many Germans , French and Italian move to the city , then they where follow by the Polish , Russian and Chinese came to the Area Montreal still was the main economy of Canada . in 1934 thats when Toronto became the main Economy of the country . After II world war many Italian and Portuguese move to canada and many more chinese the population Grew from less then a Million to Two Million and many companies move from Montreal to Toronto making the city the Main city in Canada .

Queens park , open in 1860 by the Prince of Wales in honor of Queen Victoria , a really nice park but small in the center its the legislative Building of toronto and its in the center of the city .
Royal Ontario Museum , its a really nice museum the entrance its a great Modern style by Charles Libeskind with a cost of 60 millions
Cn tower 1,815 feet high tower in the center of down town and in a clear day you can see the lake , it has a Glass floor level that I did not went lol cuz I don't trust lol , and you can even Hang from the outside if you want to Pay for a extream Trill . and it has a restaurant with one of the best view it was the tallest Tower till 2010 when Dubai and Chicago got Taller towers .
Casa LOma , I got to say it was my favorite thing to do in Toronto . Build by Sir Henry pellatt ,1883 he created the Toronto Electrical company and in 1902 Pellatt was chairman of 21 companies and Created the Hydro Generating Co. in the niagara falls and his love for the Army got him to the Tittle of Knight in 1905 . and in the 1911 he Build this castle with 3,5 millions today around $40 millions ,was one of the Largest Homes in North America .Today its a museum of his Life and its a great sample of Architecture . The Great House did not last long till he could not pay for the house do to taxes and he lost every thing .
The main street for the Gay community was Church Street
The first Time I went to Toronto every one told me that its a International city but all I saw was Thai and chinese every where , I don't think it was that international , there was a Little Italy area and the Portuguese town but its all Chinese now , I found Greek Town but you have to drive a bit to the suburbs and Actually I did Like the Greek town . the Gay area its small but nice there isn't much to do and I never got to understand the Bars when they got crowded , only for one and there where all really young , I had fun , the bath house was Ok and the stores where cute , one thing that I like was that The leather stores where cheaper in Toronto then in USA so I got to Buy alot of leather up there .
Toronto its a Clean city but I don't think its a Big Gay destination for that I give them a 6 .

Era poblada por los Nativos Llamados Huron y los Iroquois , luego fue comprada el area por la corona Inglesa , en 1793 John Graves fue el Gobernador y la llamo York , en Honor al Prinicipe Frederick duque de York y segundo Hijo del Rey George II . En el 1812 fue destruida el area por los Soldados de USA debido a que Inglaterra Habia destruido Washington , asi que USA destruyo la ciudad de York .Muchos esclavos vivian en Toronto debido a la abolicion de esclavitud en canada asi que muchos esclavos de USA se mudaron a Toronto , Luego en 1830 miles de Irlandeses se mudan a la ciudad y traen su religion catolica siendo esta la primordial de Toronto.
en 1900 muchos Alemanes , Italianos y Franceses , Luego los siguen Los Polacos , Rusos y los Chinos . Pero Toronto no era la mejor economia de Canada sino Hasta 1930 cuando muchas companias de Montreal la mejor ciudad de canada se mudan a Toronto y con todas las companias mudandose debido al crecimiento de poblacion fue entonces cuando Toronto se convierte en la Primera economia de canada . Luego de la Segunda guerra Mundial muchos Portugueses e Italianos se mudan a la ciudad y mas chinos , La poblacion de menos de un millon crecio a mas de dos Millones siendo Toronto la ciudad mas grande de Canada .
Lugares de interes :
Parque de la Reyna Fue habierto por el principe de Wales en 1860 en Honor a la Reyna Victoria , es un parque lindo pero pequeno en el centro de la ciudad , y en el medio del parque esta la casa legislativa de Toronto.
Museo real de Ontario o conosido como el ROM , es muy interesante y un buen lugar para visitar la entraba es Moderna restaurada por 60 millones ,por el arquitecto Charles Libeskind .
CN tower , a 1815 pies de altura era la torre mas alta del mundo por mas de 35 anos hoy dia es la tercera torre mas alta , no edificio , Torre . esta tiene una de las mejores vistas al lago y con uno de llos niveles tiene el piso de cristal que yo no camine ya que no confio que se valla a caer Ja ja ja , y tambien tiene un restaurante en el tope de la torre , y si les gusta el riesgo se pueden atar de sogas y guindar del borde del edificio , si lo hacen me dejan saber .
Casa Loma , tengo que decir que fue mi lugar favorito para visitar , es un castillo construido por Sir Henry Pellat este Hombre creo la compania de electricidad de Toronto luego de Trabajar en el negocio de la familia continuo invirtiendo hasta que llego a tener 21 companias . creo el Hydro generador de las cataratas del Niagara y en 1905 la reyna lo nombro Knight asi dandole el titulo de Lord o caballero de la corte real . en 1911 construlle este castillo con $3.5 millones Hoy dia casi $40 millones esta siendo una de las casas mas grandes del Norte de America .Hy dia es un museo de su estilo de vida y tiene una colecion Militar del la Corona de Inglatera . El castillo no le duro por mucho pues lo dejo con muchas deudas debido a los impuestos y perdio todo .
La Calle Church es el area gay en Toronto .
Cuando visite por primera vez todos me decian que era una ciudad muy internacional pero no lo creo asi . muchos de las areas como la pequena Italia y el Barrio Portugues ya no existen todo es chinos y Thai , casi todo es asiatico . lo unico que vi que no era chino y me gusto fue el barrio Griego pero hay que salir de la ciudad a 10 minutos . el area gay no es muy Grande pero si tienen varios bares y restaurantes , sauna y lo mas que me gusto fue que las tiendas Leather (de cuero) son mas baratas en Toronto en comparacion con USA asi que a comprar cuero en esta ciudad , Ja ja ja .
el Hambiente de toronto no me gusto mucho pero la ciudad como tal es muy linda y limpia .
pero como destino gay no solo le doy un 6 como destino Gay .
